The 24^th annual Region VI Pretreatment Workshop has just been completed and I would like to thank everyone that made this year’s conference a huge success.  In all there were about 280 people in attendance.

This year’s workshop featured 26 speakers and topics ranging from FOG, P2, and streamlining to Pollutants of Emerging Concern and Nanomaterials.  And of course there were the ever popular Pretreatment 101 sessions put on by our State and EPA pretreatment coordinators for the pretreatment newbies.  If not for the dedication and support of these people who are experts in their fields this Workshop would not be the great tool it is for keeping abreast of the latest information in the industrial pretreatment world.

An industry tour was also part of this year’s workshop.  QuadGraphics opened up their facility in Oklahoma City to our attendees and everyone that went enjoyed their hospitality and the chance to learn more about the operations of national printing company.

In addition to the great information presented in the workshop sessions, there was also time for networking during the Meet and Greet function and during the breaks and after-hours.  As usual many new friendships were made and old friendships were rekindled during these times.  What a great way to get to know people who have your same issues and find ways and ideas for dealing with them.

Again this year we had the support of some great companies who provide their support through the booth rental fees in the exhibit hall.  We also had some additional support from Teledyne ISCO through their sponsorship of the Meet and Greet and from Garver Engineering and Thermaco through their break sponsorships. In recognition of the exhibitors support we have provided a page on this web site to thank them and I hope you will all take the time to visit it.

There were many people working behind the scene to make the workshop happen and they all deserve a lot of credit for their efforts without which this Workshop would not have been possible.  So, thanks again to everyone that made this Workshop such a success and I look forward to seeing you all again next year at the 25^th Annual Region VI Pretreatment Workshop in Addison Texas.
