40.         Some Wording in CFR

"In my 17+ years experience with the Pretreatment Regulations, whether it's been on the

local, state or national level, Lee Bohme has always been the "bobble-head on the

dashboard of my pretreatment cruiser" (ie: my master mentor!).  He's been available for

instant guidance and regulatory interpretation in some of the most interesting and

unusual issues one can imagine.  His unyielding, undying and selfless dedication to the

evolution of the National Pretreatment Program has helped keep me trying to "one up the

master" but, only has resulted in self improvement in dealing with some tough

situations.   These tidbits of guidance and recommendations compiled by Lee over the

years should be given all due attention considering their source.  Region 6 would not be

nationally recognized as one of the most cohesive and best in U.S. without Lee's

contributions.  Other EPA regional coordinators seem to bow in reverence when he

enters the room.  We should truly consider ourselves blessed to have been given the

opportunity to work under the watchful and guiding eye of Lee Bohme."
